Wolfgang Blach, engineer, is a recognized specialist in process equipment. He is an expert in the application of the following codes:

His activities include design, calculations, and approval of pressure vessels as well as atmospheric tanks & reservoirs, thermal calculations, and the design of heat exchangers. In this context, he resorts to traditional stress analysis calculations, as well as finite element calculations, and supervises the production of drawings.
Wolfgang Blach also has twenty-some years of experience in related fields, such as mechanical design, stress analysis, industrial automation and process control, as well as in development projects, several of which were related to the pulp & paper industry.
With a strong interest in the applications underlying theory, he also spent a few years in the academic field, as professor in mechanical engineering.
Wolfgang blach has a strong multidisciplinary technical education, with a bachelor in mechanical engineering from Concordia University in Montreal in 1977, followed by a master in engineering, including studies in lightweight structures, from the Swiss federal polytechnical institute, in Zurich in 1980.
After several years of professional practice, he then got a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, in applied mechanics and stress analysis, from the Technical school of the University of Montreal in 1989.
He is a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec, as well as of Professional Engineers of Ontario.
